Thumbs down to Rainy days

So yea...yesterday was a miss...it was rainy...and dreary...and wet...and the first day back at school from vacation...found tons of stress, not too much of it inspired me.

Today, I was super excited because it was time to open the hives and take out the queen box. Well, imagine my surprise when I arrived home and that had already been done! So sad! But, there's some good news at the end of this whine...Rob saved the queen box which had a large amount of honeycomb attached! Way to go bees!!! Keep busy!!! Hopefully I will be around next time the hive is opened!!

Ambitious? Maybe...

I've been following some 365 day challenges on blogs and Instagram. People posting pictures of things that make them happy or just inspire them to be better people. I then think to myself: "Self, why don't you start one?" I then come up with a zillion excuses and never commit.

Well, right now I am going to commit myself to bettering a hobby which I half started years ago. As a gift to myself for landing a teaching position, I bought myself a fancy DSLR. I love to take pictures. I love to get behind the lens and take that money shot...the one that encompasses every emotion of that instant and tells a great story. I can take 500 shots, but really, I just want that one that's just WOW. I've taken many of those, but those moments were always everyone else's. I want to capture my moments. I want to capture my story, the characters that shape my story, the ones that make it spin. All the new and exciting adventures my life takes me on and the people who keep it buzzing on.
